      Great people, no sustainability

      Pros

      Passionate and driven coworkers, team and family spirit, kids make every day worth it! Lesson planning is done for you and lots of organizational planning. Funding is ample, so materials are not an issue.

      Cons

      No sustainability-long hours, planning times taken up, limited behavior support from admin, constant meetings and PDs not always useful. No creativity because must use KIPP curriculum. Admin, headquarters, and coaches can be rigid and patronizing.

      Pros

      -Great pay -Kids are great -Money is really good

      Cons

      -If you are a teacher, it will take over your life. There is no real work-life balance but you are compensated for that -Co-workers can be a mixed bag. Sometimes great---sometimes terrible. -When you leave, you are dead to them. Doesn't matter if it was good or bad. They no longer care about you and your career development.

      Staff is amazing and very supportive of one another (depends on which school) Parents are generally easy to work with and very supportive of teachers Administration is generally supportive

      Cons

      Teachers work 60 + hour weeks every week Little flexibility/ individuality across classrooms
