Pros
People are generally nice. The offices are clean and modern.
Cons
The benefits are a joke. In fact, I would go so far as to say that they are an insult. There was no training or presentation on the benefits options for 2023 and nobody in HR answers questions. It's been 10 days and I still don't have an answer. The health "insurance" is massively expensive. The deductible is so high, it's almost larger than the maximum allowable annual HSA contribution. The traditional plan is even worse, being both extremely expensive AND having a huge coinsurance requirement. There is no actual 401k match. There's some murky rambling about "equity" which is payable upon some mysterious, undefined "liquidity event" taking place at an unspecified time in the future. I can, with confidence, state that this is the worst health insurance offering I have ever seen in my 29 year career. The company is larger, has a larger number of employees, more resources, etc...and you're telling me they couldn't negotiate a better plan? I'm actually, sincerely scared about what's going to happen with my health next year. I won't be able to pay for my medication. It's hard to not think of this having been targeted at me, specifically, or people like me (those with expensive-to-treat chronic conditions).
