      Terrible place to work

      Pros

      Automotive industry is strong (for now) and they have expertise in blow molding fuel systems. Textron provides them a big cushion for capital and expertise.

      Cons

      CEO is cruel, can't be reasoned with and very hot tempered. The worst person I have ever worked for. Left a large body count of very capable employees and shouldn't be in management of any sort. He has no use for Americans. Quick to turn a blind eye to whatever is happening in Mexico as long as they turn a profit. Textron has been happy to rid itself of a lot of non-aircraft business and has always hatred Automotive. Only a matter of time before this place is sold.

      Pros

      Had a great team in Lavonia. Talented, good leadership and interesting products.

      Cons

      German leadership at top levels presented certain challenges. Lots more micromanagement than I would prefer.

      Pros

      Senior leadership understands what are the things needed to keep the company ahead.

      Cons

      There needs to be better alignment between the US operations and Bonn. The two sides need to work together to achieve the common goals and that can only be done by bridging the gap in cultural differences. The Germans have a unique was of doing things which are more straightforward and less window dressing compared to the US counterparts. This is often a source of conflict but could become a source of getting things done quicker.
