Great place to start...not a great place to stay for all.

Pros

They provide good chances to develop. You are given resources, a mentor, and access to leads. You have to learn the business on your own. Be ready to hit the phones. Constant company lunches. They give you your own laptop.

Cons

You hit a career ceiling quickly. Turnover can be a problem. A person with 10 years experience will have the same problems someone with one month of experience will. Tough marketplace. Saturated market. Technology is constantly changing. Consultants aren't loyal and are often cynical. Monster/Careerbuilder should not be your end all be all to find candidates. Pressure to produce. 100% commission.

Pros

Among the best commission structures in the staffing industry. Potential to make good money, with the right amount of effort.

Cons

It is a life encompassing job and an environment that breeds greed and is completely unaccepting of time off or a personal life. Be prepared for 100+ phone calls per day. The only thing that matters at the end of the day is how much you make the company- you do well then they love you. You do poorly and you're gone.
