Getting worse every day.

Pros

If you're on an old contract you may have some nice vacation time and benefits.

Cons

Atrocious management style from the top down. Incentivization consists primarily of nonstop "walks", a practice where upper management comes into the store and browbeats/nitpicks what few employees remain. Other typical management practices include: 1) demanding that impossible amounts of work be done in a completely unreasonable time frame by mostly untrained staff. 2) promising "rewards" such as paid lunches etc. for meeting safety goals, etc .. only to never actually follow through or bring it up again. (My department at last count was owed about 5 years worth of "rewards". 3) an absolutely embarrassing and insulting "Feed the Human Spirit" campaign launched by the company that flies in direct opposition to the company's treatment of their staff. (Things actually got markedly worse at the program's launch) 4) employees quit/ retire and are never replaced, as the job is completely unattractive even to the unemployed.

Pros

Still unsure....been there a year & a half. No time off, no vacation, 60-70hr weeks, exhausted (physically & mentally), barely scraping enough wages to survive & STILL beaten down by mid-upper & corporate management. They are never satisfied!

Cons

Everything! This place will take your SOUL! Kroger is corrupt, corrupt, corrupt! Too bad King Soopers sold out to Kroger! Been there a year & a half. No time off, no vacation, 60-70hr weeks, exhausted (physically & mentally), barely scraping enough wages to survive & STILL beaten down by mid-upper & corporate management. They are never satisfied!

Pros

Pays well, benefits after working there for a year, vacation after a year (only 4 days)

Cons

Seniority, managers don't care about you, hard to move up in the company, will screw you over and won't care, got school? that sucks, because they'll schedule you when you have school even when you ask them not to because *seniority*, unfair treatment, everyone will single you out, claims they don't tolerate discrimination - will discriminate you for your age, gender, and how you look, especially if you're a younger female trying to move up in the company. If you're a young female, no one listens to you, people step on your toes, and if you try to move up - good luck, because they'll consider you too ambitious and you apparently don't know what you're doing or it'll be too much for you too handle. You got the job if you're a young male though!
