Inadequate training and and unhelpful atmosphere
Pros
For someone who enjoys time alone and isolated then this would be perfect. It's good experience to walk away having. Works with schedule well.
Cons
The managers claim the motto is "yes we can", being that we can almost always accommodate the customer however every manager said conflicting things when it came to honoring expired coupons and pricing issues making it nearly impossible for an associate to function without constant assistance. Not only that but the training given was devastatingly minimal. I went in for my first day and was given the Home&Kids department, which covers 2/3 of the store, on my own with no directions as to what I should be working on. I was a seasonal staff member who came in adoring the service and products with which Kohl's provided and following the holidays still had shifts. As for the associates themselves, they were incredibily "clique -y " with the vibe of high school. Many were petty and unwilling to aid new comers.
