Pros

Good base salary. Mobile industry background. Leader in Gartner MQ FWIW. Definitely presents an opportunity to learn a lot in this exciting space.

Cons

I have been here through the old regime and onto new regime. So will share thoughts on both regimes because even though the new regime is trying to establish professionalism, respect etc. a lot of baggage from past exists. Old regime - abusive management, no respect for the individual, nepotism - more like a friends and family company, no processes, demoralizing management, no growth opportunity and poor sales growth New regime - some of the new execs especially CEO and CMO are outstanding. Trying to change the past culture to make it more respectful but honestly execution of that is falling through since there is a lot of past B and C players in middle management who won't change unless they are fired. They have hired a new sales head who has a huge challenge on his hands right from hiring A players to growing sales. no chance of that happening anytime soon. The products team is a disaster. poor quality and Prod Mgmt has zillion VPs even more than a $500M company. Most of the VPs are incompetent and don't know Product Management. Whatever top talent Kony has are leaving in bunches. I have heard the Foster city office is a ghost town and totally demoralizing to see two handful of employees and a lot of empty space where the team can use to play soccer. I do see that new HR is trying to add employer response to negative reviews. The objective here is to help HR change things by working with exec management and not to sound like a disgruntled employee. The feedback is very objective and just stating the facts. So don't waste your time adding a response to this. take this feedback constructively and try and stop losing more talented folks.

Pros

Kony offers good base pay. Kony is in a an amazing space. There are a lot of opportunities as the Internet of Things continues to push companies to innovate. Kony may still have the potential to be a true leader. Free Bagels in the office every morning.

Cons

The company is majorly understaffed in critical areas. There has been a high turn over of employees recently due to the horrible work culture.. Many of these positions remain unfilled leaving remaining employees shouldering an already heavy load. The new leadership has hired a lot of Vice Presidents and Executive Vice Presidents from outside the company that lack mobile experience and do not understand the product line. These high priced resources are only adding to the confusion since very few of them are leaders and spend more of more of their time in conjecture or thought rather than digging in and providing leadership as well as help with the increased workload from the departure of so many. Instead, Kony continues to have a nepotistic battle between our CEO, originally from HP and our President, originally from Microsoft where external hires are flooding in . Things seem shady and crooked, and I fear employees will continue to suffer for the good of those at the top, not the company. All the glowing recommendations on Glassdoor started with the hiring of our new HR staff that also increase our CEO's rating. This smoke and mirrors game extends across management.

Pros

That I finally got out of the company

Cons

CEO is a horrible two faced person who has no respect for his employees. HR is a total waste of space ask a question about your benefits and all you get is I don't know. No matter what the question is. The rest of upper management is even worse.
