Pros

To my knowledge there is not any Pro's to accepting a role with this firm.

Cons

I was happily employed at a company in Southern California but always sought a role closer to family. A coworker notified me of an available job nearby, prompting me to apply. However, my experience with Kratos UAS in Sacramento turned out to be a disaster. With fourteen years of industry experience, including Fortune 10 and Fortune 100 companies, I had never faced issues until now. The hiring process was chaotic. Despite requesting a 10% salary increase and relocation, the final offer mirrored my previous salary, yet I accepted it eagerly to be closer to family. On my first day, I realized I may have made a mistake. Despite being disabled, I was denied access to front handicap parking, forced to park 100 yards from my seating area. Speaking of which, I had no office or available cubicles. The lack of proper seating was accompanied by constant interruptions during trainings due to scheduled meetings. The equipment issued was used and rapidly passed down from other employees who quit, people in my interview with me quit before I even started the role. The campus is a manufacturing area, and you will be exposed constantly to toxic fumes from the manufacturing process, and if you want job security that won’t happen here; they are considering moving the operation out of state. Adding to all of this, there is nowhere to eat but the gas station which the employees all rave about, and when you leave in the afternoon you will be greeted by homeless encampments on the sidewalk next to the company property. The first week was even worse, I had a meeting with the leadership due to complaints about my behavior—alleged bragging and interrupting, issues unheard of in my 14-year career. Three weeks later, I was still without a designated workspace, unable to use handicap parking, and now facing scrutiny for my attire. Leadership criticized my clothing, leading me to seek advice from HR on fitting in better. This, despite moving my family 400 miles away, and my wife quitting her job and upending her career including my kids struggling to adapt to a new school and find new friends- After 43 days, I was fired. Having relocated my family and invested significantly in the process for a lateral position, the company didn't even put a new req out for my role, they merely promoted someone internally. This experience taught me a valuable lesson—choosing a company that values its employees is crucial, I had left a great company and stable job for a ruthless dictatorship firm that discriminated against me for the way I dressed, my social and economic status, and my disability. Before accepting an offer with this firm, I truly recommend you look elsewhere it is not worth the pain and suffering. AFTERWARD: I was quickly picked up within a week by Northrop Grumman, and guess what? Not one single complaint, nothing. I am employed by them right now, and for a lot better salary with a way better 4 10’s schedule! LOOK AROUND DO NOT WORK HERE!

Pros

Employees who work hard as a team and attempt to support each other.

Cons

Work/life balance, lack of resources, lack of ethics in higher management. Everything is about driving the stock price.

Pros

Nothing. Literally nothing. I'd say the 9/80 work week is neat but the problem is they "ask" (its not a question, you either work or they find a way to fire you) you to work on your RDO so much that you are just working for a ton of extra hours for free because no one gets paid OT.

Cons

Everything is terrible. They will ruin your health and life then toss you aside once they've drained what they can from you. They have no idea what they are doing in the defense contracting world and will soon be swept away by the larger more organized companies. The management is sub-par at best, with most higher ups caring more about lining their pockets for a nice bonus than making sure their workers are taken care of. This place is a joke and isn't worth a single person's time. I should also mention that for you vets out there, don't fall for any of their garbage. They just want to hire you for a tax break because lord knows they need the money with all the work they don't get. 1/10 would not recommend.
