Pros

Kratos is a decent place to work. The people are friendly and professional, the pay is decent, and the work-life balance can be ok (as long as you're not a senior engineer or manager).

Cons

Since Kratos acquired RT Logic, they have been slowly doing the familiar sad thing corporations always do: trying to do more work with fewer people. Upper management has all these grand plans for how they're going to expand the business yet somehow continually try executing these plans without doing their due diligence and getting the proper infrastructure in place. They rely on people stepping up and taking on work additional work of their own volition after creating a bad situation, which usually puts the company itself at risk. After seeing this sort of thing play out multiple times, I can only come to one of two conclusions. Either upper management is completely incompetent or they just want to line their pockets with a few bonuses from big projects and get out as quickly as possible, regardless of what happens to the company.

Pros

good work hours, decent 401k

Cons

there are many things to say about working for this place. lets start with some of the obvious things though. OSHA would have a field day with this place. allowing employees to walk under a suspended load with no reprimand. i said something and got told they were to busy to even put on a hardhat before entering the area. same individual cut his hand open and instead of driving the individual to the hospital, they made him drive himself to get checked out, and then subjected him to a hair test. for a company hemorrhaging money that seems excessive. when was the last time the eye wash station was tested? or the overhead shower? what if a female were to have gotten something in her eyes or on to her head? she just gonna have to suck it up and go into the male restroom to take care of that? what about someone in building b? theyre just screwed too because theyre gonna have to blindly sprint the 100 yards or so to the male restroom in building A to get to the eye wash station.mechanical drawings were downright awful. we were righting discrepancy reports for nearly EVERY project we had to work on because of the prints. one drawing showed misaligned holes on the print! and it always felt as if nothing was ever done about it other than sending the discrepancy report up to the managers. speaking of managers. it seemed as if they were handsomely paid while most of the mechanical technicians had to fight for a 2.5 % raise. thats not even keeping up with inflation! speaking of management. who lets an employee stay around after MULTIPLE incidents of disrespect and altercations? why did it take him getting into a physical altercation with another employee for him to be let go? why is it when one of the mechanical technicians gives a suggestion its ignored? if it wasnt ignored it sure felt like it was. it was a common issue where parts would have to be sent back to the vender for them to be remade or re shaped. work orders were constantly missing important parts and we either had to go on a wild goose chase to find them or wait for them to be delivered at an unknown time and date. not only that but managers and engineers would constantly walk out onto the floor, pick-up tools and never put them away where they got them from.EVERY SINGLE ROOL AROUND TOOLBOX ON THE HIGH BAY FLOOR IS MISSING TOOLS, and not just one or two things, they are missing so much stuff that all the technicians elected to bring in their own personal tools to keep from having to search for what they needed for over an hour. lets not forget the fact they also said nothing to the guy who hoarded away company tools and locked them up in his toolbox as if they were his when the company bought and paid for them. after i was laid off i asked for a letter of recommendation to which i was told "we dont really do that here" gee thanks guys. i would leave negative stars but that isnt an option. by the way, even the guys you have working for you now feel this exact same way. dont really know why you guys ask for feedback, you aren't going to care either way, as long as yalls paychecks keep coming in.
