Pros

flexible boss, go with the flow environment, easy going and nice colleagues. People are nice, PTO and medical is average

Cons

no room for growth, sometimes will be expected to work long hours, don't care about you as an individual, only the company depending on the department.

Pros

- Pay is good, benefits are great - Getting paid overtime is awesome - Free soda - Work is fast paced and you're allowed a fair amount of autonomy - High quality team of engineers to work with - Colorado Springs is a beautiful location

Cons

- HUGE variability in experience, depending on which department/location you're in, and which customer you're working with. - Kratos develops software for the government and other defense contractors. Their bread & butter is one-off custom products. They talk big about COTS products, but it's very rare that they sell something that isn't customized. The end result is that their products are medium/low quality, and medium/low quality products are less fun to work with. - The project teams have very little time to develop good requirements with the customer, and then spend months and years on the back end making up for building on a flawed foundation - As others have noted, they do lay people off to make ends meet at the end of the year, and then open a bunch of job req's the next year

Pros

The building was nice to work in.

Cons

* They claim to be about family but when you are a parent and need to get your child. They make a problem out of it, * Retaliation for doing the right thing. An issue arose that needed to be dealt with and was told to stand down which was unethical. Upon reporting the issue, management stepped in and punished the team. *Misrepresentation of positions. Hiring someone to do one thing and then telling them they are now doing four things is misrepresenting the role and hiring under false pretenses. * The management needs a total overhaul. The lack of unprofessional conduct and legitimately caring about the contract and roles. * The toxic work environment. There was a lot of turnover for good reason. But if a rumor started one was leaving they were ostracized from people and treated like they wore a scarlet letter. * Offboarding is treated like a walk of shame. When having to quit they make you walk around with your sheet to have signed off on throughout the building. Given the toxic environment, it makes what should be normal a very anxiety-riddled affair.
