Pros

Days off during the week, but did have to work 12 hour shifts. Loved the nurse practioner - you become really close to them because it's just you two all day together so you HAVE to get a long with your NP if not it's gonna be a long dragging day. If you request with time your PTO days most likely get accepted I think the whole time I worked they denied like 2-3 days I think and I request a lot of time off. It just depends because so many people are starting to leave, BUT they do have a lot of PRN (as needed) employees who they put in your clinic the days you request off.

Cons

I liked the old CEO mike stoll, but once he left I think in 2015 everything went down! For employees, for the company they are obviously making a lot more money and really trying everything they can to take every penny then can. It's all about the numbers. You are never backed up from management as you can see in every review, management is the main problem everyone has and it's true. You also have to have TOUGH skin working here, patients talk to you however they want to and are so rude.(some are nice.) They get mad at YOU if they have a balance/don't accept insurance but offering them to pay $89 dollars for visit. The patients are what pushed me over board, I can deal with the management but sad part is the management does not have your back, we get there are people who are having bad days/ not feeling good we get it but I want to be treated as an adult not a dog. Some patients would throw their cards at me and they can get nasty. If you're nasty back expect a call or face to face conversation from one of the managements. One last thing to add, is that $12 an hour may sound good at first but just wait till you start working it's not worth $12 an hour with the stuff you have to put up with from patients/ all the other duties that your responsible for. THINK good about it. me and a lot of other people I've talked to who worked with me, we would all have trouble sleeping the night before just from thinking about work. Working there has given me tough skin but also a lot of anxiety!!! If you're someone shy and quiet not like to talk or be under stress this isn't the job for you.

Pros

The good thing is, people love working at Kroger. So they work there forever. Great work life balance, very relaxed work environment, you can basically choose to not work some weeks.

Cons

No one ever leaves, so moving up is impossible. They think inflation is a raise (2%) and they pay monthly. They also don't really grade you according to performance, but they try. The system at Kroger rewards those who just stay there the longest, not necessarily the best. Also the environment creates issues around accountability and owning technology related issues. It became so bad, they trained everyone on a book called "The Oz Principle"

Pros

Appreciation and acknowledgement from management and co-workers when you go out of your way to help out or to put the customer first. Kroger associates work best because they say Union Yes! Opportunity for advancement is there and obtainable if you are the kind of person who insists on providing the best customer experience possible.

Cons

Can be hard to get hours when you need them, had a scare with one week only being 20 hours long.
