Pros

You do get a discount on kroger brand food items.

Cons

The management treats this place like a high school. If you are friends with them you can get away with leaving early and not being reprimanded. But if you aren't friends with them they treat you like dirt. The company doesn't care about you working with a skeleton crew and they will do nothing to help you succeed at your job. Also, the union is pretty much worthless. They act like they are there for you but in reality they are actively working against you it feels like. Oh, and it doesn't matter how long you have worked here. You will not get a pay raise unless you work enough hours. But it's almost impossible to get those hours in your own department because a multi billion dollar company is worried about labor. I would highly recommend applying anywhere else.

Pros

I have a job. Union.

Cons

Kroger used to value their employees and be a great company to work for, after covid they definitely quit caring about associates. Pay is middle if the road. The upper management does not care about employees or what happens in the stores.
