If you like strict Japanese culture with a flare of southern California pretentiousness, then this is your company.

Cons

Management strung me along to fill a need in their accounting department and then cut me loose 4 days before Christmas and less than a week before I hit my 90 days to receive my sign-on bonuses. HORRIBLE COMPANY! I received no feedback or warnings. One Friday my paycheck just didn't get paid, went and told HR, they said they'd look into it, 3 hours later I was called into HR's office and terminated. No explanations, just given a final paper check and told to leave.

Very detail oriented. Does not make 'shotgun' decisions, everything is planned out. You work is valued and opinions are heard, assuming you have the data to back it up

Cons

Often too detail oriented. Requires validation on the smallest of changes. Paralysis by analysis.

Pros

The company is setting up great for performance over the next few years (2016+). Their reorganization plans make sense from a business perspective.

Cons

Within the corporate office, the office culture and management style are horrible. There is no open communication between directors and lower level managers. Upward feedback is not tolerated and frowned upon. It is very much a "take orders" and "don't ask questions" environment. Additionally, it is expected that you place everything in your life below Kubota. This is NOT a family values company. 2 weeks after joining KTC I was told that it would most likely be 1 year, or longer, before my boss would trust me and openly discuss the operations of our department with me.
