Pros

1. They have training boot camps for new hires (Devs, QA, HR, etc.) where they teach them about the company's culture and structure and its products. 2. They offer good benefits such as -> Company events (Year End, Sports Fest, Family Day, etc.) -> Free gym (i.e. Waterfront CitiGym) -> Free coffee and milo (i.e vending machine) -> HMO 3. Training and boot camps for ISTQB foundation-level certification 4. Established testing process 5. Software Tester/QA will learn a lot about manual testing

Cons

1. Salary is low especially if you are a junior Software Tester/QA 2. Since their products are printers, most of the applications cannot be automated. Thus QA most probably won't be learning any test automation. 3. There is a feeling of division between the Devs and Tester/QA. This is because the bugs found by Tester/QA are taken against the Devs, and rejected bugs are taken against the Tester/Devs during the feedback evaluation. 4. It's a Japanese company. They're very strict about work and time. Your task progress is monitored closely. 5. Software Tester/QA possibly won't have any WFH option since it would be impossible to take the printers home. Some printers have the size of a medium-sized refrigerator. 6. You need to be a regular employee to avail yourself of any paid leaves and HMO. 7. The company requires employees to work on Saturdays (not all Saturdays!) to compensate for some Philippine holidays that we have.
