Pros

Although the position was seasonal at one of the call centers, the duration of my assignment with L.L.Bean was very enjoyable. I liked the atmosphere, and was very impressed with the style of training. I felt most feedback from the Quality Control department was very fair and really helped me improve my skills. Having this seasonal position listed on my resume has been extremely beneficial in securing employment since then.

Cons

The downsides of working for L.L.Bean's call center is that most positions are only seasonal and don't lead to anything permanent. The pay isn't spectacular and sometimes due to a lack of work, employees get sent home early (without pay).

Pros

When you tell someone you work for L.L.Bean, they nearly always respond that they love the company and tell you a story about how the company went above and beyond for them. Privately owned by the founder's family, and the family truly cares about the company, employees, and the community.

Cons

Our culture of always helping out can be a bit dsyfunctional internally. People bend over backwards for each other, which is great, but some times is abused. Company should invest more in sending people to training on a regular basis.
