I love what I do!

Pros

I love how everyone on my team is incredibly hard working. There is nothing we wouldn't do for our residents! I love the company's work life balance they strive for. Flexible schedules allows me more time to attend my child's sports game. I never feel bad leaving a few minutes early so I don't miss out on my child's life!

Cons

Some challenges are, the managerial bonus are very difficult to obtain. They are sales related and not work driven. I wish more focus was put on how hard we all work rather than our sales numbers. There is not enough praise and appreciation given to the leadership teams in each community.

LCB does not care about their employees or residents

Pros

I like the work when I am able to do the job in my job description

Cons

LCB is focused solely on sales. They do not care about their residents once they get them in the building. We are chronically short staffed and currently have only one full time RCA on morning shifts in memory care. They hire RCAs who quit within 2 weeks after seeing the unrealistic expectations LCB has for them. They expect memory care RCAs to provide ADL assistance to 30+ residents throughout the day, set tables, plate and serve all meals, provide housekeeping, and facilitate activities/engagements. For $17/hr. They claim that having their RCAs provide meals helps provide added familiarity for the residents but that is complete nonsense. They just do not want to pay for dining service staff. They do not want to pay for activities staff. They badger their employees to clock out for lunch even when they are unable to take breaks due to short staffing (safety issues). We have not had a memory care director for two months and they are in no rush to hire anyone. They cut corners at every opportunity but expect the facility to function at their high standards. LCB is a dysfunctional company that needs a wake up call. They do not need so many high paid corporate "specialists" and "directors" who provide no actual support to the communities they are so disconnected from. I am disgusted by how this company operates and treats human beings.
