Pros

Decent benefits, corporate team willing to help. Hard to work for a company that withholds reviews and raises for 2 consecutive years.

Cons

No raises for 2 years (2019 & 2020) for staff, but raised resident rates. Communication not always timely. Issues with sick and vacation time resulting in hours being removed because of "computer issues". Had a staff member who could not take time off when parent died because PTO hours were incorrect in the system. Offered no "work around" for her.

Pros

The families are such a joy

Cons

Racism. A colleague in management told another colleague to go back to Africa, this is USA and that employee is no longer with LCS

Life Care Services has zero tolerance for racism, hate or threatening actions. We strive for diversity and fairness in everything we do, holding our employees to the same high standard. This isolated incident between two employees was thoroughly investigated and appropriate actions were taken to assure that there would be no further discourse between them or any other staff.

Pros

The people that work at LCS in the corporate office are amazing. I have had the pleasure to meet many of their upper level staff and couldn't be more impressed. They are knowlegable, supportive, down to earth and genuinely care about the elder population that they serve. To find a company that has core values and true ethics like LCS does is rare.

Cons

Honestly I thought LCS must be too good to be true, I've looked for the flaws. I haven't found them yet. Working long hours and juggling family and work is a given when you work in this type of job. Its worth it and so rewarding to care for seniors and when you work for a great company there really is nothing to complain about.
