Pros

Some Of the managers are really good and patient at training and developing employees.

Cons

Where do I start. This place is a house of cards waiting to burn. I think upper management has lost control a little by placing many middle managers in place who are devoid of any real talent. In corporate, there are probably 5-6 people who are worth keeping around but always seem to go unnoticed. The culture is a joke, full of cheesy unnecessary catch phrases and the culture is enforced only when it serves a purpose of management to make a decision but it is not lived out and exercised day in and day out.

Thank you for your review. We are pleased to hear that you appreciated the training and development you experienced while employed with LGI. It is disappointing to hear that you feel this way about our company and loyal employees. We truly pride ourselves on our fantastic personnel and people-focused company culture. Best of luck.

Disappointing

Pros

Great concept. Great initial training. Smart and respectable owners.

Cons

As the company grows, the founders see less of how things run and the local upper Management are desperate to save their jobs at the expense of dedicated employees. The company is not run the way it was intended, by the core values instilled upon hire. Instead, it becomes every man for himself in an endless game of who can get the lenders on their side so they will show up to work and do their job and get loans closed, so your office can meet its numbers. The lenders pick who ever has the most clout in the company for fear of having no work at all. So offices are neglected as there is also a shortage of man power and the few lenders avail scurry to assist the higher ranking manager and his office. Rules regarding the length of time for contracts are ignored behind the scenes and the corporate officials never catch the inaccuracies because there is always warning prior to their arrival. They see numbers so all seems well. Lack of maturity from upper Management also an issue. Threatening and dysfunctional atmosphere.

Working at LGI is the best decision I've ever made!

Pros

LGI is a haven for top performers. The company is full of top quality people in all roles, across the country. The CEO and COO know everyone by name and personally train all new sales people. Constant training and process improvement lead to ever improving results and opportunities. The growth of the company has been astronomical and very well managed. There is an amazing company culture that leadership is genuinely committed to. Best place I've ever worked hands down. Headhunters call me weekly and it's EASY to say that I'm not interested. It's easy to wake up and go to work every morning because I love my job and the people I work with and for. If you are genuinely ambitious and have an open mind, this is the place for you!

Cons

None. Having an open mind will be your key to success here. If you don't buy in to the culture, you will struggle. The culture is genuine and not superficial as mentioned in some other reviews on this site.
