Cheapest company.
1.Use your own cellphone for your work and having patients call you incessantly even when you are not at work with no compensation. $0 for them to turn your private cell into business phone. Most other companies give you about $45 to$55 to use your private cell for work phone calls or they give a cellphone from the company.
2. Expect you to travel 3 hours one way for Christmas Company lunch and you have to bring your own food/drinks/gifts. Yes, you bring gifts to exchange with one another.
3. PTO accrues so little at a time, half than other companies. About 3 hrs per 2 weeks pay period.
4. Pay Scale low compared to other companies for equivalent positions yet expect you to work a few different roles especially if you are salaried. For example if you get $40/hr from other companies, here you get about $36/hr and that is on their high end!
Micromanagent
1. Expect you to come to work at 8am and leave only if your work that you can complete the next day to be completed on that day even if you have to leave at 8pm and you are salaried so. you get paid 8 hours for working 12 hours. No lunch brake is ok with them as long as you finish what you boss tell you to do reasonable or not, while your boss and everyone else goes home. The kicker? You are still on orientation.
2. Sends you to a different office and your boss calls the boss of that office to see what time you arrive.
3. Call field staff at 4.30pm everyday to ask them to do extra things for no extra compensation for going more than 8 hours
Not empowered to do the job
1. No proper training. Give you videos to watch all day for your orientation and expect you to then know what to do for your job. When you asked questions, not given proper answers. When you are given instructions, the instructions were so haphazard and slow in coming, you have to bungle your way to get your work done and then you are held responsible for mistakes you didn't know you made for the lack of training.
2. So much chaos in the office due to horrible performance of the staff there and then when they are let go so you have to pick up the slack and perform the roles of 2- 3 other jobs that are not in your job description.
3. The office staff not very helpful. They do what they feel like doing when they want to do them so you don't have what you need to do your job half the time and you need to ask them everyday for the same things causing you to be late for your deadline.
People would be desperate or crazy to remain long in this company. Now the insurance company, United Health Care has bought them up and LHC blacklisted UHC last year as a payor because UHC does not pay up after LHC and other companies have provided services for UHC's patients. UHC is also the company who fired thousands of great hardworking nurses who gave above and beyond for standing up for their beliefs and not taking the Covid vaccine. So what do you think will happen to the care provided by LHC who also owns Cambridge Home Health, Almost Family in OH.
