Pros

Decent benefits, marginal pay for the market.

Cons

Micromanagement. Extreme pressure from top leadership to outperform financial goals. Staffing model only allows for skeleton crew. Employees at all levels are overburdened, overworked, and overwhelmed. Quality is sacrificed for quantity. All employees are nameless/faceless/just a number. Resources and support to empower agencies to be successful in reaching set goals are not available and if they are requested the agency is treated in a punitive manner. The company as a whole is sales and grown driven and not centered in patient care. Short sighted decisions are made by regional leadership and mandated to local leadership to implement and be held accountable for. Even at the Director level you have no authority to make operational decisions for the metrics that you are being held accountable for. Forced to promote “clinical programs” developed by sales people, not clinicians, that are gimmicky garbage and are quite literally made fun of by the medical community that we are asking for referrals.

Pros

I really didn’t have any positives about working for LHC through a buyout process.

Cons

The buyout process was an actual mess. It literally felt like working in a war zone because it was so chaotic. There were people that were kept in their leadership roles that were doing unethical things. Leadership was extremely uneducated on my job functions and roles. Staff was not held accountable. It was constantly pointing fingers and blaming others. It was a really terrible experience working for LHC. If your company is being bought out, I’d strongly consider leaving. The leadership got huge raises and the worker bees got pay-cuts despite them saying we wouldn’t be loosing any money. I was easily loosing $1500/month in pay and they didn’t care.

Pros

Most of the people who work here are very nice There are no other pros.

Cons

Management has no idea what is going on so there is constant turnover and no one stays around long enough to be completely trained. The patients are always complaining that they never see the same nurse twice due to the turnover and management expects you to see a certain amount of patients a day, but there is no time to chart. I have to work 12 hours a day and weekends to try to keep up and I am always behind. Cannot wait to get out of here. I do not think they care about their patients or they would treat their employees better.
