Positive Mission, Great Benefits, Awesome Staff
Pros
LIFE Pittsburgh provides a wonderful service to our elderly AND knows how to take care of their employees. The care I witness staff give to our participants on a daily basis and the joy on their faces make all the struggles worth it. Seeing our team coordinate all of our participant's services is truly amazing. I don't know how everyone pulls together, but they get it done! And the relief they give to participant's families is really something special too. I feel that management makes it a priority to give staff the best benefits ever. My health insurance is amazing, my paid time off rolls over and keeps growing, and my birthday is even considered a holiday! For 4 years, I've seen LIFE Pittsburgh show appreciation for its staff members through events like picnics and Founder's Day, where they give staff time off to celebrate what we do. They provide us lunch, give us LIFE Pittsburgh clothing, they even raffle baskets off which include things like Pens/Pirate tickets, additional time off, gift cards, and this year, even a tour of our awesome city by helicopter. Honestly, I don't hear of a lot of companies doing things like that anymore. LIFE Pittsburgh continues to grow and still doesn't forgot about the staff who make everything happen.
Cons
Not a lot to say here. There are stresses, as with any job, but what we do for the elderly makes it all worth it.
