      Pros

      participants and employees are great to work with.

      Cons

      Upper management does not follow the pace process as said, every participant is not treated equal. Many medication errors, standard care doesn’t happen in timely manner. Unless you have family who push for ongoing comprehensive care , there is a delay in care. Managed by with no management background but rather became upper management due to being there for years.

If there are concerns, please bring these forth to Management or Human Resources so that they may be addressed. The PACE model is contextual and specific to individual needs, so each decision is made to the unique issues to that Participant. We encourage you to talk through any discrepancies that you may encounter.

      RUN, DON'T WALK, FROM LIFE PITTSBURGH!!

      The MISSION is wonderful. The execution, however ...

      Cons

      First, every single morning, managers and RNs SIT in a STAND-UP (what?) for TWO HOURS, making fun of participants. (Aren't stand-ups supposed to be quick meetings where people stand and resolve issues quickly? Not at LIFE Pittsburgh!) It's a horrible experience listening to their disrespectful comments about elderly and/or disabled people who need help. Second, there are several people on staff, including aides and administrators, who treat employees like garbage. I would NEVER recommend this place to work! They're STILL looking for someone to fill my job, that I quit over a year ago. FIND ANOTHER JOB, whatever you do!

      Thank you for your feedback. LIFE Pittsburgh would never tolerate any behaviors as mentioned above either to Participants or Staff. LIFE Pittsburgh serves almost 600 Elderly individuals who if not for our staff, may be in a nursing home. It is our staff's commitment to our Participants that makes this program successful.
