Pros

The company provides wonderful much needed services. Staff works hard to meet participants needs with little support.

Cons

Administration has no idea how the business world has left them behind. Most have never worked anywhere else so they are more worried about themselves and not the staff or staff needs. Spend most of their time fighting amongst themselves.

Pros

I’ve spent many years with LP, most of them very happy. I enjoy job, love my profession and support the LIFE Pittsburgh mission in its entirety. This program has been amazing to hundreds of people. They have incredible, gifted, caring staff and an extraordinary CEO.

Cons

Unfortunately I’m finding that the pro’s become overshadowed by the cons. The work environment has become extremely hostile to say to say to least. Interrogations and condescending conversation have replaced the once friendly work environment. Outgoing and helpful colleagues have become bitter and resentful. I’m watching the company that I love fall apart at the direction of a single person.

Thank you for your feedback. LIFE Pittsburgh is not only committed to our Mission of supporting the elderly in our community, we are also committed to our workforce who are dedicated to fulfilling this goal. We hope that you are raising your concerns and if not heard, utilizing our open door policy which is embraced by the CEO. You are absolutely correct that without our staff, our 600 Participants would not have LIFE Pittsburgh to support them, so please do bring forth your issues.

Pros

Doing good for the community. Good benefits

Cons

Upper management is terrible. The CEO should have retired, she has NO clue how much her employees are dissatisfied. They have these "directors" who are so power hungry, its like watching animals fight for food . I am so happy that I am out of there. No advancement unless you are in with those evil directors

Thank you for your review. We are saddened to hear such a negative review regarding dedicated employees who are serving 600 Participants in our community. LIFE Pittsburgh was started in 1998 and has successfully cared for over 2000 individuals in our area who without our program would have lived in a facility. Although LIFE Pittsburgh is not perfect, we are committed to doing the right thing for the Participants and Employees, which is evidenced by our long tenured Participants who have been enrolled in the program and many of our staff who have 10+ years with the company.
