Pros

Remote, able to craft own schedule

Cons

Base pay is just above minimum wage. Expected to make +80 ice-cold calls daily. Upper Mgmt is run by a family and is in its own world Extremely cheap and nickel and dime on everything. Sales tools are from the 90's and marketing is nonexistent in the life of a rep as you are on your own selling ads that no one sees.

As a current employee, I hope you’ll reach out to your manager, or me personally. Upper Management is a team of professionals with an average of over 10 years in the industry, and are not related to the family who owns the company – so we’re all vested in the success of the ad sales team! Yes, the role requires an individual who can make cold calls, but we do invest heavily in lead resources and lead management software to help our team succeed. Base pay is a salary is only part of the total compensation, and we find that on our team of nearly 150 full-time Ad Sales professionals the average pay is nearly 2X salary and lands well over $80K per year. We just hosted 82 of our top ad sellers and account managers along with their guest at our Circle of Excellence trip to Cancun, MX – anyone can qualify, it’s not just for the top 10. Our successful sellers believe in the product, and the value we bring to the advertisers who want to reach our targeted audiences in communities we serve across the U.S. Please reach out to me if you don’t feel your manager is supporting your efforts. -Tim Potrikus, CRO

Pros

Everything about this company is a pro. They genuinely care about each of their employees like family. Training is unlike anything I've ever experienced before. Ryan is an amazing trainer who turns what could be a boring onboarding into a fun and engaging class. At LPI you truly are a family. Every employee treats you with respect, decency, and like a human being. Management is no different, even at the corporate level. Teams are very close and an absolute pleasure to work with. Even in the beginning you're treated like you've been a part of this family for years. Benefits are solid, and kick in very quickly to include personal days, sick days, exct. You can't go wrong working for LPI. PS Michelle is the best! Go Olympians!

Cons

Pay is a little low on the sales side, but the commission makes up for this when you start earning (Base + Commission)

Thanks for that note! Our culture drives our whole enterprise. We built the commission plan so that earnings are unlimited... as are the perks like our annual Circle of Excellence award trip for top performers. Go for it!!

As an Ad Sales Executive, we’re glad to see that the work assignments are flexible & open to the direction and effort you want to put in. Our bonus and incentive plans are built to reward that effort! If you’re finding the assignments boring, your manager can give you some alternative sales campaigns to work on and add a different geographic region, market, or specialty to break up the day.

Pros

Ability to work from home. Generally great work environment. Wide range of advertisers to work with. Occasional free reign to design as you see fit.

Cons

Overtime has become permanent. Less ad design, more production. Expectations similar to a marketing team, with tighter deadlines and less pay. No sign of change despite years of pleas to management.

Thank you for your review and for ways to continuously improve. This year has been one of our busiest yet! We appreciate the additional time that you’ve spent ensuring that ads are designed in time for production. We couldn’t have done it without the Ad Design and Customer Service teams stepping up in a big way! We will continue to evaluate staffing levels to meet the needs of the business and appreciate your feedback.
