Pros

I started with Labcorp about 2 years ago and I couldn't be happier. The work environment is collaborative, the people are so friendly and helpful, there is plenty of room for growth, I receive consistent feedback from my manager and praise for my work. After working here a year I was promoted into the next level based on my work. You are treated like an adult - no micro managing. It's night and day from my last job (in a good way).

Cons

The material that you need to learn is complex so if you don't like a challenge this probably isn't the job for you.

Pros

In hindsight after 16 years at Covance, nothing except the colleagues in Leeds CRU, some but not all

Cons

Two things went horribly wrong for me. 1) I was in a office where someone debated that having religious outfits such as turbans and face coverings is in their opinion not right, nor is faith schools etc, that is not the bad part, the worst was an office of 8 plus people who heard everything but said nothing other than me was the most upsetting part. I am and are someone who is and has family of a religious and ethic minority background. This happened right about the time I was thinking of changing my appearance as was my daughter. to being more religious, but still today sticks in my mind most days 2) Opportunities as a ethic minority seem to be passed over, I trained someone for 2 years, and covered my manager for 16 years, but I was passed over for the person I trained, evidently looking at the management and the ethnics minority representation in management it is not a surprise, just a disappointment. The awareness training is there but no real proactive and fair distribution for people of ethnic backgrounds nor does it apply, it is more does your face and background fit to use a generic phrase.
