Pros
Labelbox is an intentionally designed company, with foundational structures and processes that are better established than in bigger companies - such as compensation, leveling, performance, hiring, promotions. There are plenty of opportunities to take on more responsibilities, and unlike other companies I've been at, your impact is seen and rewarded. In my role I've had the opportunity to define my role, the support from my manager to address issues/gaps I had identified as long as it benefited the business.
Cons
The typical growth pains that come from a major pivot. We recently went from a purely SaaS business model to a services-first model to support the ever-evolving needs of the AI space. That meant that the pace of delivery increased, and agility became the norm. It's an intense industry and environment and it's not for everyone.

I remember going through this same page before joining. I saw that they had mixed reviews, but I overlooked them because no company is perfect and there are bound to be positives and negatives. Never would I have thought I'd be writing a review myself. They have very frequent layoffs, and they act as if the person never existed in the company. Higher management lacks good decision-making capabilities. They often lie to customers in ways that raise ethical concerns, all in an effort to retain contracts. You might be asked to work on weekends and holidays too—and good luck if you decide to voice your opinions :P Positive reviews are forcefully garnered from current employees. If you’re switching jobs, please think twice before joining!
