Pros

landmark offers great medical health insurance. The 401k can be better due to low wages compared to other financials. They have a profit share plan.

Cons

Dress code is strict compared to other financials. Underwriting descioning is inconsistent across branches which is very confusing for members. Some members complain on how they were approved before without VOI and they refer family or friends and there situation is total opposite.. All underwriting is decisoned at branch based on the limits of a loan officer .Due to this there is a delay on a approval or denial for member which is very inconvenient for members and also on loan officer. There is a loan approval line however landmark likes to have employee follow chain of command.

Pros

Business professional, yet relaxed: there is a dress code but much less traditional than other financial institutions may be, ie ties/suits are not required, but slacks and collared shirts are. Small business mentality: aware of local needs and perspectives, loans are not sold to other companies and are locally serviced. Members/customers are valued highly. Good benefits: health, dental, 401K, pension, time off. Each associate is valued as a part of the branch of department team: within the interests of the company, each dept. has its own ‘personalities,’ and problem solving and customer service are shared responsibilities. At the end of the day, Landmark is great company and makes a difference to the community.

Cons

Good benefits but most non management individuals feel that their take-home pay is less than competitive. Some departments are plagued with turn over, that most would consider a relatively small ($1-2/hr) pay raise across the board would alleviate. Having consistent and well trained associates, that Stay, would make a large impact of the experience of the members.

Pros

Room for advancement, decent pay rate for said job.

Cons

Landmark is the largest credit union in Wisconsin. With that being said they are constantly buying off smaller ma and pa credit unions. They assure you that everyone gets to keep their jobs, but if they don't like something about you, they will find a way to get rid of you. Said employer didn't like something about my appearance that I had no control over. They demanded I have surgery to remove what they found defective to their companies appearance. The only reason they noticed said defect is when the VP personally came back to congratulate me on my amazing performance and thank me for how hard I was working. I went on medical leave due to the great hardship this caused me and ended up in in-patient care. They fired me after a week in the hospital since one of their doctors didn't evaluate me. The kicker- The insurance I had through them backed out on the medical bill for $80,000 blaming it on pre existing conditions. They also make you purchase clothes from their clothing line as a uniform.
