Pros

My direct manager and coworkers are great and nice to be around. I've made some great friendships.

Cons

There are so many great people that have left the company due to being dissatisfied with a variety of issues and problems that are company wide. Management has not back-filled positions so we are needing to do additional work with no additional compensation. Many days I'm working 10 hour days with no breaks and eating lunch at my desk. It is extremely hard to keep up when you are doing jobs that 2 people used to do. Promotions and job advancement is extremely rare.

Pros

None. Ask anyone that currently works there.

Cons

This will not be another long, seething rant of condemnation. The many issues with this employer and workplace have already been outlined at length in the negative reviews. Based on my own experience, I feel compelled to strongly urge anyone that is considering an opportunity or evaluating an offer in the corporate office to simply not do it. Please read the negative reviews written on this site and read them again. Your experience will not be any different. Spare yourself, your family, and your emotional well-being, of this abusive situation.

It is a long drive from Madison

Pros

People are pretty friendly, and it is pleasant working there. The facilities and the gym are quite nice.

Cons

There is a split in the employees. There is a large % of people that live out close to Dodgeville, and then another part of the company that lives around Madison. The drive from Madison is long, boring and horrible, especially in the winter time. In the end the Madison people have constant turnover and the local to Dodgeville people rarely ever leave. This influences everything. The Dodgeville core is resistant to change in anything, from process changes to location changes. People coming in with new ideas, etc., they will eventually give up on the commute. So when new ideas come up, there is hard resistance, because the locals know the commuters will not last more than 2-3 years at most. So all they have to do is sandbag and wait and the change will go away. This happens constantly, in all departments and all levels. This is why the company will never be great.
