Pros

Work from home, get to do homework between calls, no commuting.

Cons

Much lower base salary than the one originally offered on the internet ad for the job position, you get the rest of the supposed income if you stay on active call time for 3.6 hours (8 hour shift), after that, you get some cents paid by the extra minute. The training doesn't actually prepare you for the real calls you get and you often have to deal with people who are rude/impatient/unfamiliar with the protocol you are expected to follow. Every new call feels like a russian roulette, you don´t know if you are getting a good connecion and/or will be on speaker phone from the other side of the room, of course not bein able to properly do your job because of those circumstances, is your fault.

Soul crushing office

Pros

Your selling a genuinely useful service that has a positive impact on peoples lives. Technology is being overhauled leading to more efficient systems and work processes.

Cons

Bad pay, no work life balance, ugly office, lots off office politics, and management treats employees like garbage.
