Pros

From home but you are not payed for all the hours you work

Cons

I was supposed to work 30 hours a week, but my hours were cut without notice every week. You find out you're not working by logging into the platform, and it won't let you in. I ended up working 8-16 hours a week. They also have a lot of penalties, so you'll never get paid the full amount you're working. But if a call extends after your shift, you have to stay and finish it without pay.

Pros

Remote job, no need to worry about commute

Cons

Terrible management who does not care about employee's mental health or rights. Reduced hours because of AI, low pay, no yearly pay raise, bare minimum health insurance, no holiday pay rate. If you want to use PTO then it depends on their mood to decide if you get approved or not.

Pros

Assist LEP customers obtain interpretation/translation when a company (e.g., banks, insurance companies, etc.) do Not have bilingual personnel.

Cons

They sold contract to Kelly Translations that Only pays $15.00 an hour (even employees with a Master's degree), in this economy. You have a 15 minute paid break and half hour non-paid break. They Do Not provide a 40 hour work week that is only needed due to the poor pay. They use one software for payroll and another to log in to the system to take calls from clients. Although you sign in for your shift, in both software systems, if the interpreter software does Not reflect the shift hours you are scheduled for, you get 'docked' from your pay.

Pros

Stay home. That's all. Nothing else.

Cons

Fifteen seconds to recover between stressful calls. The health insurance they offer is super expensive for the poorly paid for hours you get. It does not match. Micromanage everything, constant supervised and not a proper guidance after being pointed the errors of the week. Extreme poorly paid for the higher quality of job that they want. The company charges 3 or 4 dollars for minute, but an interpreter gets paid 15 an hour before taxes. See the difference? Days off unpaid always. Not fair. Not even during sickness, grief or personal emergencies.

Pros

work from home with 401k

Cons

Based on my personal time with the company, I found this role to be quite challenging and it ultimately wasn't the right fit for me. During my employment, I experienced frequent schedule adjustments that resulted in periods of unpaid time off, even during shifts that felt busy with back-to-back calls. For me, this lack of consistent hours made it difficult to maintain the steady earnings I was anticipating. Because the role is fully remote, communication relies heavily on an internal chat platform. I personally found the communication style frustrating. Whenever serious topics or workplace concerns were raised, the feed often seemed to quickly fill with casual trivia and social posts, which made it feel difficult to have visible, constructive discussions about work conditions. I also found the scheduling policies to be less flexible than I had originally hoped. In my experience, getting time off approved required significant advance notice, and the adherence metrics felt exceptionally strict. Even when taking necessary sick time, the tracking system felt rigid and left me feeling unsupported. Regarding compensation, I did not see a clear pathway for merit-based raises. From my perspective, compensation seemed to remain stagnant regardless of an employee's tenure or additional training, with adjustments only appearing to occur during broad, company-wide rate changes. When navigating difficult client interactions, I felt that the internal conflict resolution process was lacking. In situations where client complaints were filed, I personally felt that my perspective wasn't fully weighed or supported before disciplinary steps were taken. Additionally, I found that the provided medical benefits package did not meet my personal healthcare needs. Overall, my experience left me feeling disconnected from the company culture. I ultimately decided to move on because I felt viewed more as a productivity metric than a supported member of the team.
