There are (were) some incredibly talented and kind people on staff.

Cons

Everything else. Literally. Do not work here. There is no transparency around salaries, promotions, job titles, or case selection. I've worked for a number of non profits and this is the worst.

Pros

The work is rewarding. You get to be at the center of important fights.

Cons

Turnover was really bad. They believe you should feel lucky to be doing the work and that mentality leads them to not treat the staff great. It's a shame that the values the organization fights for publicly are not fully embraced internally.
