Pros

Good stepping stone for young engineers looking to learn. Flexible work schedule. Fantastic coworkers.

Cons

Management cares more about the stock price than their employees morale or well being. Board voted to pay out a dividend during COVID just weeks after massive layoffs and obscene salary cuts. Cost cutting initiatives and budget constraints constantly lead to product quality issues. Inability of engineers to purchase the critical tooling necessary to improve manufacturing. Always band-aid solutions so management can get their bonuses which are tied directly to how far under budget they are.

Pros

April 27, 2017 The good part of working at LeMaitre is being surrounded by good, talented people. People work hard and are proud of the work they do. The company needs to leave behind the small business mentality. Management has become complacent and is not innovative. They resist change. Unfortunately the employees pay the price. There is little to no investment in talent growth, no training or continued education. There is lack of leadership, coaching and mentoring. Management doesn't do a good job at prioritizing competing priorities. The manager's bonus structure tied to budget leaves employees unable to procure tools or materials required to do the job. Overall, the company is not keen on spending, even if it means coming close to shutting down operations. Upper management is too focused on making personal bonuses and often make decisions that are not in agreement with company objectives. The employees are offered great cost cutting incentives. These cost cutting programs are often forced on them by management. These programs often become the cause of serious quality issues and recalls. The company needs to redirect their efforts more on quality and less on serving Wall Street.

Cons

Management only cares about lining their pockets

Pros

Flat organizational structure with lots of pay-for-achievement opportunities. Direct access to top management - including CEO Family feel despite being public

Cons

Aggressive at maintaining no-backorders - drives some inefficiencies. very frugal company that does scrutinizes every expense - sometimes penny-wise, pound foolish
