Everyone I have encountered has been lovely and helpful. People do go out of their ways to help one-another, despite the fact that most teams are horribly overworked.

Cons

No work/life balance at all. Disconnect among teams leads to ineffective communication that then creates even more work for those at the bottom. Almost everyone works well after hours, on holidays, and on vacations. Many of the teams are incredibly overworked due to unrealistic expectations, ineffective processes, and the fact that more people need to be hired to that team (which won't happen, at the employees' expense).

Thank you for your feedback. We value the insights from current and former employees on how we can grow as a company. As we refer back to our recent engagement survey, we are working on ways to upskill leader/manager training and communication across the board. Building capability in our leaders and managers and clarifying and making progress on our communication with all employees in the company are both 2023 priorities for the company. We are taking specific actions that include clarifying our communication strategy, providing manager training, and articulating what successful managerial efforts mean at Leaf Group. We look forward to seeing our leaders and managers grow every day in their career journey and hope that employees, over time, also see the impact of our efforts on communication strategy.
