Pros

Union job so great benefits (ie. 9-5 schedule, no-pay healthcare, good vacation/personal/sick days, metrocard, pension, etc). Supervisors vary greatly by dept. - some are great, some aren't. Good/important mission. Work for a major/biggest US nonprofit law firm. Various departments doing different things. Generally great colleagues.

Cons

Raises small, and only every few years unless you're an attorney. Not always easy to move up/get different opportunities. Supervisors vary greatly by department - some are great, some...aren't. Lots of beaurocracy.
