Pros

Manageable schedule, easy to get along with almost all co-workers, everyone is interested in helping clients

Cons

very limited in what services we provide to clients, not sustainable, most people burned out, every few months things change (supervisors, units, grants, intake method, policies), hard to feel like you're moving things forward and more like stuck in a bureaucratic rut.

Pros

Great benefits. People are encouraged to take time off. Supportive environment. Not micromanaged, your practice belongs to you.

Cons

Culture of Liberal Fascism. The pay should be at least 10k higher across each grade. Upper management is hypocritical, snooty, and aloof.

Pros

Great feeling of shared purpose overall in the organization, strong commitment to working with low-income New Yorkers. Excellent benefits, including vacation time.

Cons

For non-attorney staff, there are not many opportunities for advancement and professional development. Salaries are low, and increases are few and far between. Non-union staff have no voice at all.
