Truth about the recent positive reviews

Pros

Decent perks, food, parties, nice office

Cons

The recent positive reviews are written by managers to boost up their scores here. Isn’t it odd that several positive reviews showed up all of sudden within few days? As more truth about this company is published here, the company are having harder time getting new hires. And the smart ones read the reviews and not take this job. I agree that every company has its share of people who are happy and unhappy with thier work place. But majority here are extremely unhappy. And the reviewer who said Legalzoom is a “competitive” place - it’s called “backstabbing” and not “competitive”. Everyone is threatened to be fired & are expendable unless you hit 120% of your quota so everyone’s just trying to survive until they find a new job. That’s how they run this place and makes for a bad place to work. And that reviewer who said the company is in growing pain...if a company is still experiencing growing pains after 10+ years and 3+ years in Austin, it doesn’t sound like the company knows what it’s doing and has questionable leadership. This reaffirms a lot of things that people have been talking about - bad training, micromanaging, leadership, etc...

Fun Yet Challenging

Pros

Everyone I work with is so nice and friendly. Most people I work with are young and energetic. I genuinely like all of the people I work with, managers included. Managers and Leads are readily available to give advice and coaching, and they seem interested in their employees progress. There are many freebies at LegalZoom. Free coffee and soda everyday, and free bagels on Fridays. Free birthday cake and Tiff's Treats once a month too. LegalZoom provides career opportunities for its current employees as well. Since I started working here less than six months ago, two Sales Specialists were promoted to Lead postions, one Lead was promoted to an Assistant Manager position, and one Assistant Manager was promoted to a Manager position.

Cons

The job is competitive. A bad revenue day can cause stress, but luckily, management understands that everyone has a bad day every now and then. I think the bad reviews for LegalZoom come from former employees who weren't cut out for the competitive nature of the job. Many people thrive in a competitive environment, but some do not.

Pros

Pros: Amazing growth, tons of opportunity to make good money, meet great people, develop your career and skillset! I get it, there are some foul reviews on here.. and everyone is entitled to their opinion, but as a Legalzoom employee, I can honestly say, the company is great. It is a call center, therefore not everyday will be a walk in the park, some days can be stressful.. but in regards to being a fun, energetic, motivational and growing company to work for, THAT IT IS! The people are great, the training is awesome, and you will walk out of training very knowledgable about the products. The company really cares about their customers, REALLY! And that is rare to find with a lot of other sales companies... Also, the Leadership is constantly asking for feedback on ways to improve b/c they genuinely CARE about the employees and want to continue to improve..! Opportunities for growth and advancement are endless.. The company is always looking for ways to improve and I see them as being on the right track for success!

Cons

It is a growing company... and sometimes there will be the occasional growing pains.. Thats why we all need to learn to deal with some ambiguity.. Not every ride will be smooth sailing, but the people that can take the bumps and learn from them with stride, will GO FAR! If people are looking for Disneyland, well, take a vacation.. work can be tough... but, understand that what you put in this company is recognized, appreciated and will make a huge difference in both your development as well as the company. This is a company in which what you do today will mold it for tomorrow and YOU can become a part of that. GREAT OPPORTUNITIES!
