Pros

Most of the people are great and some of them are a**holes which seems ironic because Lemonade has a "no a**hole" policy. Which isn't even really something that ever gets taken into account when employees are being verbally abused and threatened by customers almost every other day. You get to use Slack but it doesn't ever seem like there is a sense of professionalism in this form of communications. At times, leadership are very blunt and almost uncomfortable in how they talk to employees and about situations needing to be handled/discussed. The parties may seem "Instagram-worthy" but they foster and encourage toxic gossiping and unnecessary peer pressure to work harder to play hard at bars that only will give you cheap well drinks.

Cons

Unprofessional, toxic, vindictive and unruly leadership seem to sit at the center of all that's wrong throughout this company. Especially within the claims experience department. They don't know how to support employees and don't ever take proper protocol when customers are ripping into employees for things they have no control over. Management are very into "feedback" and will often ask for it. But, once it's provided management will find some spin to place on it why nothing can be done to fix it. They often will separate out feedback through items that are "actionable" versus employees "b*tching". I don't think management really cares about feedback but rather asks for it to save face when needed for higher reviews online or just to report back to their bosses. On top of that, I've heard that employees don't receive bonuses or raises for at least TWO years...and that may not even be a guarantee. Which sucks. I don't know if I'm going to make it here much longer despite people telling you that they could never leave...I don't know what koolaid they're drinking.

Pros

During your time at Lemonade you will get access to a Macbook air. This is considered a pro, aside from that it seems like an unsustainable model to provide each new employee with a Macbook when turn over is as high as it is. They host parties frequently however be prepared for a lot of social pressure to attend. This can be exhausting when the environment at parties often fosters negative gossip.

Cons

The insurance side of Lemonade is undervalued, in every single way. Often employees are not properly trained in insurance, or Lemonades business practices due to the leadership constantly changing them. Employees may not receive a raise even after two years. Benchmarks for progress in getting a raise are unclear. Advocates are overworked, understaffed and have no support. Champions take on an incredible amount of responsibility for their role, and are treated as disposable by advocates. Leadership does not recognize the talents of their staff. Does not have a formal HR department despite having hundreds of employees. I would not recommend this role if you are needing ADA for this reason. Company culture is not what it is promised to be in my own experience. In my experience, company culture was very clique based. The online and remote nature of this role only heightens the culture.
