Pros

At times a fun and interesting place to work especially if you're a food lover. LAMP stack, so you'll be working with Wordpress. You are expected to code, project manage, QA , and at times design full websites for the restaurants. If you are not familiar, you'll learn on the job.Fast paced environment to work in with many requests from various divisions - you will be busy. Catered weekly lunches are a nice perk of the job. Generally, the people who work there are pleasant and helpful.

Cons

You will be underpaid, despite doing the job of 3 people. A running joke amongst employees is the company should be called "Lettuce Underpay You". The benefits and "401k" were very bare bones. Web department gets deprioritized. Even if you have great ideas to make the tech stack better, you are beholden to the financial approval of the restaurant partners. They don't want to pay for tech advancements mostly because they don't understand it, so you're stuck making wordpress sites. The current director of web development is an emotionally unstable workaholic. Don't be afraid to report to HR if you're being mistreated - it would not be the first time. You are expected to work Windy City Smokeout. If you like festivals, hot weather, country music, you're good. If not, it really sucks, and they should just hire professionals to do this instead of graphic designers/developers.

Pros

Family meal, insurance, some nice coworkers.

Cons

Inconsistent training. They put servers in a full station and the corporate trainer never finished their training. Managers do not check up on new employees, when they first get to the floor.Corporate trainer arrives late then, rushes through the training.Corporate trainer doesn't"t even finish the training sessions. Management does not walk around and touch tables. Managers hang out at the host stand or in the office talking about employees.
