Pros

This company is extremely professional and customer service oriented, both externally and internally. New employees are provided with a significant amount of training and guidance to ensure a high level of proficiency, and a positive adherence to Lexipol style. The end result is a cohesive delivery of an exceptional product to the end user. Equally positive, is the fact that Lexipol has enjoyed a positive reputation in the Law Enforcement community for some time. Moreover, Lexipol is currently undergoing significant growth into other professional fields, to include Fire, Custody, and Juvenile Probation. As Lexipol expands into these fields, I expect it will only serve to enhance Lexipol's positive reputation, as the company grows exponentially.

Cons

Thus far, I have no "cons" to report.

Thank you for sharing your experience with Lexipol. Our February 2019 merger with Praetorian Digital has created several exciting opportunities for Lexipol employees and the company as a whole, as we continue to expand our products and services into public safety and local government.

Pros

Founding idea and philosophy to help public safety - Unfortunately this is no longer in place. Now it's just about the money.

Cons

The same as the other ratings since the company was taken over by a VC. Note the cons in the reviews that have been posted since 2014.

Once a Great Company, Now Struggling with Leadership and Direction

Pros

The company’s mission of supporting public safety is meaningful and attracts people who genuinely care about the work they do. Many of the employees are great to work with and are passionate about helping first responders and public safety agencies succeed. Because the company is relatively small, there are also opportunities to get involved in a wide range of projects and gain exposure across different areas of the business. The benefits package itself is fairly decent, though the employee premium costs are quite high.

Cons

Executive leadership has created a highly toxic environment over the past few years. There is a consistent lack of transparency, empathy, and accountability at the top. Feedback and differing perspectives are often dismissed, conversations tend to be dominated rather than collaborative, and decisions are frequently made without considering the impact on teams. Favoritism is common, with support and attention often directed toward personal hires or close connections, while broader teams are left unsupported. Product rollouts are often disorganized, with products pushed to market before they are fully ready. This frequently leaves sales and marketing teams confused and frustrated while trying to position offerings that are still half-baked or not functioning as expected. All of this has led to a significant decline in morale and turnover is extremely high, particularly within Sales. The former CEO also “retired” and was recently replaced rather unexpectedly. Since the new CEO came on board, there have been several leadership changes. This company used to be an amazing place to work, which makes it especially disappointing to see how much things have deteriorated over the past two to three years. Candidates considering joining should do thorough research, ask direct questions about leadership stability, compensation, and product readiness, and carefully evaluate whether the current environment aligns with their expectations.

Thank you for sharing such detailed feedback. Lexipol’s mission has always attracted people who care deeply about serving public safety, and we’re glad that was part of your experience. With new leadership across several functions, there is a strong focus on improving how teams work together, especially around product readiness, go-to-market execution, and major cross-functional initiatives. Reducing silos, clarifying roles across teams, improving accountability and creating a culture where employees can raise concerns constructively are important parts of that work. We know progress has to be demonstrated over time, and we appreciate the perspective you shared.
