Pros

I gained a lot of experience and knowledge that I can apply towards my career elsewhere and the benefits/scheduling flexibility was appreciated. I was able to be creative and liked a majority of the work.

Cons

The company culture is negative - filled with nepotism, poor management on a power trip, and lack of company responsibility to correct issues. A lot of quick decisions, cut backs, and management does not appreciate the hard work you do.

Pros

A legal way to make money. If you are unemployed or you are considering doing something illegal to make money... then this is the place to work. Something is better than nothing... Don’t expect much.. Don’t complain and don’t have any ambitions in life and you will be very successful. I lost my corporate job during a recession and decided to work at life storage. I am thankful for the job and it was only only a job: not a career. Think that way and you will fine.

Cons

Inconsistent hours, unappreciative corporate staff, constant angry customers.. low pay. The amount of pay attracts people with low Integrity and criminal minds. Lots of low class, ignorant employees who will steal, work off the clock, falsify documents, rent spaces and pocket cash, etc. when the pay is low... so is the integrity and Life storage has plenty of employees on staff with horrible integrity.

Not a good place to work

Pros

Usually just you and one or two other employees in a building. Very organized corporate company.

Cons

Hours are 9-6 every day. Pay isn't great... Yearly raises are laughable amounts. Upper management not attentive to your needs, and not very responsive. You think you're helping customers with storage needs, but you're actually turning all your merchandise and insurance into a hard sale. They force you to make every person you come in contact with write a Google review while they are right there in the office. Ridiculous budget requirement. Poor bonus pay. The company changes their policies and procedures constantly.
