Pros

1) Helping our most vulnerable population (OHP Clients). Have a job with a purpose not just making money for shareholders. You can really make a difference in client's quality of life here. 2) Company has a reputation from funders as being ethical, meeting compliance and one that won't go out of business. 3) Excellent Benefits 4) Flexibility in Full Time, Part Time 5) Provides licensing supervision 6) Is one of the highest compensating community behavioral health centers in town.

Cons

1) As all community behavioral health centers, it loses staff to the County, Hospitals and other places that get more funding dollars than we do. Hence, higher turnover. 2) CBHC's are at the bottom of the funding pool... Everyone else gets money first and the small amount left, we have to make work. Just like in our home lives. 3) Any job here requires staff to work hard to help our clients have a better quality of life. I think this is mostly a Pro but can be a Con for folks who don't think accountability applies to them and/or think they deserve to get paid just to show up..

Pros

That I did not start screaming and never stop,

Cons

That I actually stayed there for three whole days before resigning.

Thanks for your review. I'm sorry you didn't find our agency to be a good fit. The orientation you attended may have been a smaller group with more employees scheduled for the next round. Group sizes do vary. We receive positive reviews from employees about these sessions and how they welcome new staff with a wealth of information and assistance.

Pros

Better pay than similar agencies, at least for now while they have the grant. Flexible start times and leave times, but not with days.

Cons

Unprofessional management, no training for office managers of how to interact with people with mental illness, nepotism, favoritism, negative culture and work environment, tense and dishonest environment, over populated with floats, undependable hours some weeks you get no hours, expect unbennefitted employees to be as available as full time employees, not flexible with our for students or people with any outside committments and are punished for it.
