Pros

I have not found one yet aside from some of the people we worked with that have been wonderful.

Cons

They are terribly unorganized. All implementations are like drinking out of a fire hose. They want it done and do not care how. They are ALL ABOUT THE NUMBERS & BOTTOM LINE! We had a wonderful, amazing community hospital before the merge and now we are 1 of 70. Doesn't that make you feel warm and fuzzy inside when you hear that. It's truly sad to go from a wonderful community hospital to unorganized corporate America. Benefits are not great either.

Pros

Decent jobs and salaries if you're in the "favored few." New building is nice. Some of the people are great to work alongside.

Cons

- Warring departments - Bullying by middle management level in some departments - Senior Executives (Officer level) extremely unaware of true nature of culture below them - Culture has evolved to become just like HCA and CHS

Pros

Pay was ok, and years ago when I first began working there, there were some competent management and staff

Cons

Consistently understaffed, poorly equipped, and the turnover rate led to incompetent nursing because competent nurses speak out about understaffing and unsafe patient environments. Incompetent nurses accept unsafe patient environments and understaffing and are rewarded for this behavior. Management are rewarded for bullying and chasing away competent nurses. Experienced nurses make more money and recognize medicare and Medicaid violations and are vocal about it. They are rebuked, defamed and sometimes libeled. The only thing this corporation cares about is making or saving a dime. Although they hide behind god, their only god is green.
