Pros

It was rewarding working with kids and was fun to make them smile

Cons

Not much room for creativity, travelling from preschool to preschool is exhausting, the equipment is really cumbersome and heavy. Almost everyone I worked with experienced chronic pain due to lifting all that equipment all the time.

Pros

- PEOPLE! Lifetouch is truly a company that lives and breathes a family culture. Because Territory Managers commissions are based on results, they are fantastic for support within the territory. Anyone in the company is willing to help with anything you need. I never met anyone that wasn't helpful, and/or hardworking. If you get the right manager, they will support you to grow in your career and there is room to advance if you care about your job and do well with it. - Easy work once you know the systems. - ESOP is good, money never comes out of your pocket. - Benefits have good coverage and are similar to most companies cost wise. - Off seasons allow a lot of flexibility for time off and early outs. (Most offices close 2 weeks for Christmas/New Year, 1 week for 4th of July, 3 days for Thanksgiving, etc.) - VERY flexible if you need to have a dr appt, etc. - Company is very generous in their volunteering and giving back to communities - Mostly no weekends, unless there is a sports event scheduled and they need help. - Off seasons are extremely laid back and slow. They allow time for you to recoup from the busy season, and relax to work at a slow pace. Overall, this company is still one of the best I ever worked for. I miss all of it! I wish they wouldn't have restructured operations to the regional centers, but I do know upper management is fantastic in the ops centers, and they are capable, positive, and knowledgeable. They will do a great job. The only reason I left was because I could not relocate to one of the ops centers :(

Cons

- Seasons get very busy, and there are regular "fires" that will need to be put out, miscommunications between schools, sales reps, and photographers. It's a part of the job. It makes the day go by quickly, but can be overwhelming if you are inept to handle stress and workloads well. The teams feel the stress and it can be cumbersome to keep everyone energized and positive. Having a strong team, who cares about the work and each other is vital. - ESOP is fantastic, but I wish they also offered 401k for employees to contribute to. - No PTO, so your longer vacations are *mostly* limited to when the office closes for big holidays and off seasons. There is some flexibility and the managers understand and approve other times, but generally speaking - it makes that more difficult for planning vacations during cheaper times of year to travel. - No option for Vision insurance when I was there. Overall, there is not much bad to say about when I worked here. I had a great team. It was stressful at times, but just as you felt you couldn't take much more - the off season was there and it was the perfect time for you to catch up and for things to slow down and people to destress :)

Pros

prestige portraits learned a lot about portrait photography and improved interpersonal skills by working with some many different subjects.

Cons

There were a lot. We were underpaid and over worked. Because so many people quit, I ended up working around 60 hours and week and at one point I worked 11 days straight. We were so short handed they wouldn't even allow sick days.
