Pros
Photographing can be very rewarding when you get that precious picture. Knowing that you gave the family something to cherish forever is the only thing that makes this job worth it! When you work with other co-workers it makes the job a little more fun. Flexible hours except at certain times of the year.
Cons
I wish the CEO of Lifetouch would come and work in one of the studios for a week. 10 min. appts do not work, on top of that the whole appt. time is supposed to be only 40 mins from the start of the appt time to when they leave. Every minute is accounted for. They forget that the phone might ring or a customer may come in for a pick up or a question or sch. an appt etc. And hopefully the guest doesnt want to see other enhancement options or have questions because that wasn't considered for their 40 min. appt. Now your next appt. has to wait to get their pictures taken!! Most likely you're the only one working to save on labor. The cust standing at the computer looking at their pictures gets irritated because you keep telling them "just a moment" while you help the people who just walked in. The annual raises are penny's and if your really good at your job you'll get over 10 cents! The labor hours are so tight that you will be doing some volunteer time so the hours are not so over the labor model. There is no such thing as a "break" and your lucky to be able to go to the bathroom before doing the "dance".
