      Pros

      Working for lifetouch gives you great photographic experience. I feel more confident about the way I photograph people now that I have worked at the JC Penney portrait studio.

      Cons

      They need to screen who they hire. Everyday I go to work I want to shoot myself just because of the people I work with. All they do is bad mouth each other and talk bad about one another behind people's backs. I am so sick and tired of it that it makes me not want to go to work.

      The Good Photographers are not in NY and LA, there at Lifetouch.

      Pros

      Steady paycheck. I wish I could say more.

      Cons

      Way too many chiefs that don't know jack about photography. Too many hours witout breaks. 30 minute lunch and Chinese Overtime. As much as $1.90 an hour. Do a prom and collect $10,000 and they give you $35. A joke. Plus it takes 8 to 10 hours out of your day. Don't come up short or there is hell to pay. The lab makes all the rules. Photographers have no say. Very low gas reimbursement. 28 cents a mile.

      Pros

      The people are great and the work day is never the same. There is always something new to learn or do. I feel like people in upper management listen to the employees that are working the front line of the business. Maybe everything is not implemented but jus the fact that I feel like my opinion is valued is important to me.

      Cons

      At times can be stressful. Working for a large company is sometimes not good because change is a long time coming. It took too long for Lifetouch to move to digital cameras and this has hurt business some.
