Pros

The company has some extremely talented employees, good products, and an excellent distribution network.

Cons

Weakest leadership I have ever encountered in the industry. Leaders are terrified to make mistakes; so they never take risks. Risk avoidance and stagnation are rewarded. Lack of objective performance metrics creates a culture that rewards self-promotion over genuine accomplishment.

Pros

PTO and Salary with remote work.

Cons

If you are hired in the claims department, understand now that you will be over-worked and if landing the wrong manager, micro managed as well. They pay well because of such a hire turnover rate. You are expected to be able to handle a high call volume with everyone calling in trying to reach their own case managers along with trying to handle your own cases and reach out to treating providers offices to get information. If you can't multi task or pick up the job quickly be ready for serious burn out. Remote is nice but management will treat that as you have no problem working past your scheduled hours before and after. If your manager notices you're doing well be prepared for your case load to start getting higher and higher. They make a big deal about a decent work/life balance but in reality there is none.

Pros

401k. Literally can’t think of anything else!

Cons

Where to start? Micromanagement, zero work-life balance. You go in everyday not knowing when you’ll get out. Management treats you like a slave and does not care about your personal life. Instead they often have loads of people quitting all at once so they go into a frenzy of hiring new people by lying to them about the overtime. I was one of them. Had multiple days where we were mandated to go in at least an hour if not more early, work through lunch and then stay 4-5 hours after my actual out time. There have been days where we were made to work for 13 hours at a stretch with only two 15 minutes break in between! Life turns to crap and everyone is mentally exhausted. The other thing I noticed a lot was favoritism. People who deserved to be promoted never got them but people with connections higher up did a terrible job and kept getting promoted. Training is also something that is absolutely pointless since they don’t teach you anything to get you ready for the job you will do! They also have an AVP who came over from another company and he keeps bringing unqualified people from there and gives them management positions instead of hiring internally. He did it once and then twice and then for the third time and every time those people ended up being terrible managers, but he kept doing it again and again. If you want to have mental stability and live in peace do not work at Lincoln
