Pros

Recognizable brand Exposure to high volume hospitality operations

Cons

Live! Hospitality & Entertainment will sell you on development and career progression, but in reality does not value goal-oriented growth or development unless it directly serves leadership convenience. Advancement is not tied to performance, results, or achievement of stated milestones. It is tied to obedience. If you are willing to be a mouthpiece yes person, relocate your life at a moment’s notice, and clean up whatever fire leadership creates without question, you may be rewarded. If you expect development, transparency, or follow through based on merit, you will be devalued and quietly sidelined. Don't expect transparent or timely answers to any relevant inquiries about this. Cost cutting is extreme and reckless. Staffing levels are intentionally lean to the point of operational failure. Product quality declines as budgets are slashed. Management quality suffers because capable leaders burn out or leave. The guest experience pays the price. Salaried employees are routinely exploited to compensate for these cuts. Working far beyond reasonable hour expectations and absorbing responsibilities well outside of role scope is not the exception, it is the expectation. This is framed as “leadership” rather than what it actually is, unpaid labor to prop up unsustainable decisions. The culture rewards compliance over competence and optics over outcomes. There is no consistent accountability for leadership, no real investment in people, and no respect for work life balance. Burnout and turnover are normalized. Unless you are comfortable sacrificing boundaries, stability, and long term growth to serve leadership agendas, this is not a healthy or rewarding place to build a career.

Pros

Prime location does a lot of the work for you. Licensing deals bring in traffic regardless of management skill. If you’re inexperienced, you can get a management title quickly. Easy place to blend in if you’re not ambitious. The revolving door means opportunities open up often (but for all the wrong reasons).

Cons

Upper management has no operational competence. HR is useless—offers zero protection or support. Rampant tip skimming and theft culture. Extreme turnover (30 managers fired in three years, names kept on a wall). Toxic, unprofessional environment that actively stunts real careers.

Pros

Lively atmosphere Can be fun at times

Cons

It's a boys club Gotta be one of the boys and party with higher ups. Nothing but politics and favoritism. Job performance means Nothing here. Company closed 2 venues in the last year and knew for months they were going to close but gave none of us a heads up to seek other employment. Completely ruthless
