Pros

Flexible work from home option, great community, good training and learning opportunities, paths for advancement.

Cons

Product support is hard and for me was too draining. Product is huge and you’re somewhat thrown into support despite their best efforts to give a broad training . Product support is being tied to a phone all day.

Thanks for your feedback. Our Product Support role does require employees to be on the phone assisting customers. This is something that we cover throughout our interview process. We're sorry to hear that wasn't the right fit for you.

Thank you for your review. We strive to make sure that every employee feels valued and supported each day. Performance reviews are completed on an annual basis. While in the past reviews may have been delayed we recently updated our performance management process to ensure employees receive feedback in a timely fashion. We invest in our employees and the tools they use every day. In fact, we even have a professional development department that works with employees to help them identify career paths within the organization and supports them throughout their professional development.

Pros

Management will help you achieve your goals. Company likes to promote from within whenever possible. Team members are great and love what they do. Everyone is willing to help when there's an issue.

Cons

Low pay for the work you do. Workloads could be very heavy. No diversity and inclusion training for employees (unless you were management)

Pros

- Company really cares about their employees. - Hybrid schedule options available - Many opportunities for training in your own department and cross training into others. - Company prefers to promote internally, so tons of room for growth. - Large support system. You will likely have a Team Lead, Manager, Professional Development Coach, and HR to bring concerns to. - Work life balance is promoted both through the hybrid schedule but also hours of operation.

Cons

- Pay is low compared to other companies in the industry. - Accountability is poor for under performing employees.

Pros

LCS hires friendly people that are good coworkers. The company was able to continue a hiring surge through the pandemic, and their products are large and interesting to work on.

Cons

- Management almost actively discourages ideas and suggestions. - If you're not one of the developers/managers that have been at the company for 8+ years, you won't be told why decisions are being made, and your input won't be asked for. - Tools, technologies, and processes are either outdated, inefficient, or incorrectly implemented. It's frequently all three. Version control, code reviews, and DevOps are all a daily source of frustration. - Many best practices are not implemented at all, and some important ones are implemented incorrectly. Management doesn't want to hear about it or fix it, making the applications slow and buggy. - Technical "training" consists entirely of a Pluralsight account and sparse Confluence documents. Standards are not communicated across teams working on the same product. - Company policies are not flexible and sometimes communicate general distrust of employees. Developers are allowed only 5 days a year to work from home, and that's only after they've been at the company for a year. Otherwise you have to take PTO if you're sick, need to be home for a package, etc. - Overall, if you're looking for a first job or just want a friendly, nice place to work LCS is a good option. If you've ever worked for a modern company before or want the skills to do so, you'll likely be frustrated here.

Thank you for your thoughtful feedback. LCS actively seeks feedback from employees through annual surveys, one-on-one meetings with HR, group meetings with the President/CEO, etc. We are always looking for ways to improve our products and our processes; however, we are a tech company and we move quickly and changes happens fast. LCS has an award winning training program through Rent Manager University which provide top notch training on our products and services. We supplement that training by providing all developers with a license to PluralSight where they can continue to expand their programming skills and even take courses on technologies they aren't currently working with. LCS offers all employees the ability to choose between working in the office 5 days a week with additional flex time or working in the office 2 days a week and working remote 3 days a week. This allows our employees the flexibility they need at home while still keeping them connected to the LCS culture.

Great Place to start

Pros

Positive Culture, training was good. Co-workers were nice. Great place to start or change careers. The managers and team leaders were awesome.

Cons

The benefits are okay. When I started it, we had to go to the office 2 times a week and the owner decided to change it to go 3 times a week every other week which made it uncertain when he is going to make changes to remote working again. The pay was very low and probably the reason for the high turnover in the product support department.

Thanks for your feedback. LCS does have a cafe/lunch room space with plenty of refrigerator and freezer space (and microwaves too) for employees who bring their lunch to work. LCS also offers a variety of vending options to our employees and we are conveniently located within a short distance of numerous restaurants. Many employee also have lunch delivered throughout the day. While we have grown a lot, we are still not large enough to support an onsite cafeteria....but who knows maybe someday!
