Doing the work of three people for low pay

Pros

Average salary, but it was a temporary position

Cons

Made to do three other positions as a temporary employee for low pay. This was an entry level role yet I was under a lot of stress doing the work of a Sr. Administrative Analyst. Lacked proper training by manager. Did not receive help most of the time or any through explanations or training. Regularly snapped at by my higher ups for not knowing things that no new employee would know.

Pros

I think some of the pros is the nature of work. You're simply operating a public transit bus on a given route. There is no strenuous tasks to complete or very stressful situations to handle. There is no supervisor on board, so you essentially have autonomy to make decisions what occurs on your bus. It's out doors, you're not in a desk somewhere away from the public. Also, time goes by pretty fast during busy rush hour assignments.

Cons

You're just another operator and badge number. There is no individual recognition for the hard work you do every day. Co workers are nice but not the best people out there. If you're new, they only teach you how to drive the bus, there is no other way to find out other pertinent policies and procedures about your work schedule and performance unless you ask. But, then if you ask, supervisors have attitudes and many hate their jobs. They will write you up for anything!

Pros

Great Benefits . Customer Relations Management sucks

Cons

Have to take bathroom break out of your Lunch and scheduled break. Its hard to get supervisors to take irate calls. Upper management does nothing about the problem. Air Quality in the department sucks
