Pros

None at this point. Maybe the free lunches?

Cons

Let me break it down for you. Lucid? Yeah, used to have some potential, but now it's just a mess. The higher-ups decided to shake things up in the enterprise team because sales were tanking. Instead of fixing the real issues, they're just demoting people and putting Account Executives on thin ice. And don't even get me started on the whole "we're family" and "we'll be bought" spiel they keep feeding us. It's been years of hearing the same empty promises. The truth is, Lucid only cares about lining the pockets of its executives. The rest of us? We're treated like we're still in kindergarten. Speaking your mind? Yeah, good luck with that. If you dare to speak up, you're out the door before you know it. They've created this toxic atmosphere where everyone's too scared to say anything. And their sales strategy? It's a joke. They're just trying to undercut the competition with super cheap rates. But guess what? That's not a sustainable plan. Honestly, if you're thinking about joining Lucid, I'd think twice. And if you're already there, start looking for a way out. They're planning more cuts, and this ship is sinking fast.

Pros

I've liked every engineer I've worked with.

Cons

We had layoffs and no one dares talk about it for fear of being put on the list for next time. Budget cuts on silly parties and things came way to late, and they've even brought back some of that less than a year after firing 70+ people. Management doesn't know how to measure engineering performance and it shows. Some people get promoted for just showing up and some people work like crazy and never get promoted. Engineers have slowly been moving more and more to adding extra time-wasting processes to everything we do just so they can put it on their performance review. Engineering experts take no responsibility for the extra work they give to junior engineers, only credit for "mentoring" them. When people misunderstand the senior engineers, it's their own fault for not asking more questions. Our value statements are no longer about what we prefer in Lucid employees, they're just an excuse to penalize people who speak up against unfair practices. Lucid leadership constantly tells us that our pay is competitive, but they hold back promotions from people who are obviously taking on more responsibility than their title implies. Also, a quick search on linkedin will tell you that our pay is falling far behind what other companies offer. For some reason, HR *refuses* to hire from states that require companies post the pay range on job postings, and I think it's pretty clear why.

Good company! Great people - poor compensation

Pros

They've hired great people. I love my team and my managers-- everyone is really smart and sincere. I get to work on interesting problems with a lot of autonomy. Fun activities occasionally.

Cons

Senior management negotiates hard with recent grads and early professionals to bring them in at lower-than-average salaries. If your salary is good or too high when you come in, they don't promote you as fast and you eventually wane to a lower-than-average salary
